13th and 14th June 2025, Barcelona
Following a momentous debut collaboration in 2024, SonarLab x Printworks returns for 2025. The London institution Printworks will join forces with European electronic music tastemakers – Sónar for a stage takeover on the 13th and 14th of June. The programme for the SonarLab x Printworks stage will once again be co-curated to explore the identities of both music brands, featuring an innovative and exploratory roster of live acts, artists and DJs. Building on last year, this second collaboration will push production and programming possibilities even further as these titans collide for two nighttime sessions. Guests will be able to experience SonarLab x Printworks on both Friday 13th June and Saturday 14th June, with any ticket that gives you access to Sónar by Night.
A festival with a long-standing reputation as a pioneer and a game changer in electronic music, Sónar is recognised for consistently creating, innovating, and setting the standard of musical exploration with technology over three decades. Printworks has shown a commitment to crafting an audience-led experience that fuses unrivalled production, lighting and audiovisual elements in a way like no venue has done before. They have successfully built a community that has far extended outside of their original space. This joint effort aims to bring a truly unique experience to Barcelona that aims to deliver a one-of-a-kind show, with a brand-new format showcasing their emblematic AV production and artistic curation. Tickets are available via sonar.es
The billing showcases the dynamic curation from both parties with a focus on forward-thinking music from the UK and beyond including performances by up-and-coming artist Pa Salieu, acclaimed producer Sega Bodega, jungle stalwart Tim Reaper and master of bass SICARIA. A long-standing friend of Printworks, Dixon also joins the programme alongside house and techno legends Saoirse and Ryan Elliott playing b2b and hard-hitting sonic propellers Skee Mask b2b Actress. For the leftfield aficionado, Flore goes toe-to-toe with Peder Mannerfelt. Offering an array of genres, NAGUIYAMI takes to the stage as well as UK breaks specialist Hamdi. Backed by the likes of Seth Troxler, Hiroko Yamamura makes their Sónar debut as well as a hypnotic live audio-visual performance from Cora Nova presenting ‘Mental Diary Act III’.
“Sónar has always been a reference to us with their mix of forward-thinking music policy, boundary-pushing digital art and a focus on innovation. The SonarLab x Printworks stage feels like a natural partnership. After a very successful first edition last year, we’re back with a genre-bending lineup featuring old friends of Printworks and some of the most exciting new talent coming through the scene.” – Mike Taylor, Head of Programming, Broadwick.
Eight years since Broadwick first opened Printworks London in February 2017, it has gained a cult reputation for hosting some of the UK’s most innovative cultural shows of its time. Once home to the largest printing factory in Western Europe, the original aesthetics, giant machines and printing presses were preserved to create a stunning, industrial environment in which to present its award-winning music programme and set-piece events. Currently undergoing redevelopment, Broadwick is working to prepare for the next phase of Printworks London which will see the space return with a retention of many of its key features, including the iconic Press Halls. Once open, Printworks’ new phase will have a significant impact on the culture in the capital.
The SonarLab x Printworks stage will be a key feature of the wider Sónar 2025 programme, built to highlight creativity across digital culture across all eras and disciplines. From dance music pioneers, contemporary icons, groundbreaking techno acts, and a renewed focus on radical aesthetics, Sónar aims to feature boundary-pushing formats, and to platform hyperlocal promoters and collectives from around the world.
