A Seattle couple engaged to be married, Josilyn Ruiz, 26, and her fiancé Brandy Escamilla, 29, were identified as those killed in the tragedy.
A GoFundMe described Ruiz stating, “Josilyn came into this world on July 13, 1996, hence why she received her middle name Summer, our ray of sunshine. As soon as you saw her she would brighten up the room with her big beautiful eyes, beautiful smile, and contagious laugh.”
Escamilla’s GoFundMe stated, “Brandy was kind, caring, the kind of person that would light up a room with her energy and her beautiful smile. Brandy was a daughter, niece, cousin, godmother, aunt, and fiancée. She was a huge light in our lives with a lot of goals and ambitions to look forward to.”
Three other people, including the shooter, were hurt. A 31-year-old man named Andrew “August” Cuadra from Oregon was hit in the left shoulder after he reported that the gunman appeared in front of him.
A GoFundMe has been organized to help pay for his medical expenses stating, “August is an amazing father of two and needs any help he can get financially at this time.” You can donate to Andrew “August” Cuadra’s GoFundMe here.
