This summer of 2026, Padre Guilherme once again took to Europe’s major stages with boundless energy, bringing a unique artistic experience that blends electronic music, spirituality, hope and human connection. His ability to bring together different cultures, generations and sensibilities through music meant that Padre Guilherme had the honour of closing the Main Stage at the four-day edition of the prestigious UNTOLD.

Padre Guilherme is the first Portuguese artist to perform on the Main Stage of the 3rd Best Festival in the World, according to the renowned magazine DJ Mag. The 11th edition of UNTOLD was marked by the expansion of the Main Stage where Padre Guilherme performed, making it the largest stage ever built in the festival’s history.

In addition to all the messages of unity, peace, and hope, this performance brought to the stage a message from Pope Leo XIV and the hymn of the Romanian Greek Catholic bishop of Cluj-Gherla, a national hero in the unification of Romania, savior of Jews in World War II, and martyr of communist persecution, who was beatified by Pope Francis in 2019. But the surprises didn’t stop there; the audience’s reaction was incredible when another surprise that had been prepared for that night was played: the remix of “Ionut Cercel – Made in Romania”.

As a Portuguese artist, the Portuguese soul could not fail to be celebrated beyond borders, as a way of inviting people to also discover music as a universal language.

Two of these tracks are original approaches​ on fado – part of humanity’s intangible cultural heritage – fused with melodic techno, whilst the third was a complete reimagining, in melodic techno, of one of the most famous fados of all time.

NADA TE PERTURBE

“Nada Te Perturbe” is an original and unique interpretation of a poem by Saint Teresa of Ávila, the first woman to be declared a Doctor of the Church, written some 500 years ago, which, through the centuries, continues to teach us what really matters – God alone is enough.

The fado singer’s moving and powerful voice Marta Alves combined with the virtuosity of Rui Poço on the Portuguese guitar, they blend in perfect harmony and unison with the melodic techno sounds of Padre Guilherme and Diego Miranda, once again exploring a distinctive electronic soundscape together.

“Nada Te Perturbe” It is an invitation to inner peace and unshakeable trust in God. In times when wars are breaking out everywhere and show no sign of ending, when human lives are sacrificed for the most diverse of interests, and with all the instability that is rapidly affecting us, the reality is that we are living increasingly on edge, stressed and worried. We have less and less patience; we end up getting irritated with everything and everyone. We shout in traffic, we shout at home, and exhaustion takes hold of us.

Saint Teresa speaks to us of a mature faith that trusts entirely in God’s love, a faith that is unshaken by anything. This mature and confident faith is neither startled nor scandalised. So from this song comes a certainty: God alone is enough. Let yourself be loved by God. Give Him your whole life. Love Him with all your strength. Then nothing will unsettle you

UMA CASA PORTUGUESA

The unmistakable voice of Rita Guerra in “Uma Casa Portuguesa” runs alongside the synthesizers and heavier beats of melodic techno from Padre Guilherme, A journey that evokes the welcoming, hospitable spirit and the beauty of the Portuguese people’s simplicity.

The famous chorus – ‘it’s definitely a portuguese home’ – leads us to wonder whether this ‘definitely’ still holds true today. What has been happening over the last few decades to cause this spirit to be disappearing so rapidly? Written in the 1950s, this song celebrated our folk roots, the richness found in life’s simple things, pride in our origins and faith, as well as the beauty of family life. Reviving these lyrics serves as a reminder not to lose our soul and identity as a welcoming and hospitable people.

30 MOEDAS DE PRATA

This poem, written by Padre Guilherme “30 Moedas de Prata” offers a profound Christian and humanist reflection, contrasting a growing disillusionment with modern society with hope in the ‘Cross of Our Lord Jesus’.

This unique fusion of fado and melodic techno is yet another seamless blend of traditional Portuguese sounds with the power, impact and energy of contemporary melodic techno, bringing together once again the fado singer Marta Alves, Rui Poço on vocals and Portuguese guitar, and Padre Guilherme and Diego Miranda, creating a harmonious blend of vibrant electronic sounds.

“30 Moedas de Prata” They evoke the price for which Judas Iscariot sold his friend Jesus. In an increasingly capitalist society where the lure of money tempts us, it is important to remember that there are things money cannot buy, such as friendship, love, peace, family and human dignity.

“Loucura da Cruz” rIt echoes the biblical passage from St Paul (1 Corinthians 1:18), which assures us that, in a world obsessed with materialism and power, the Christian message of sacrifice, humility and love may seem like folly, but it is precisely this folly of Love that makes it possible to realise the dream of a better world for everyone, everyone, everyone.
