An Academy Award-Winning Producer Is Making A Documentary About Avicii

Academy Award-winning film producer Lawrence Bender is planning to develop a documentary about Avicii‘s heroic and tragic rise to fame.

Lawrence Bender is best known for his celebrated collaborations with Quentin Tarantino and producing the films Pulp Fiction and Good Will Hunting.

This new documentary, five years after Avicii’s passing, will feature unreleased footage from the profound creative’s discovery and rise to headliner status as well as interviews with family, friends, and industry professionals like Swedish House Mafia’s Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso.

“Avicii changed the music industry,” said Orlando John, Bender’s producing partner for the project. “People think they know the story, but they have really no clue as to what actually happened. I feel a profound responsibility to ensure that it’s told accurately and objectively.”

He continued, “This documentary will give audiences a deeper understanding of the brand that left an indelible mark on music and culture.”

Just recently, footage surfaced from Avicii’s last-ever performance on August 28, 2016, at Ushuaïa in Ibiza for what would be his final performance before he tragically passed away. His impact on the dance music community continues to inspire ravers and creatives alike.
