British DJ & producer wAFF has made a triumphant return to Hot Creations after a seven-year hiatus with his latest three-track EP entitled ‘Slapfunk.’
It starts off with the title track ‘Slapfunk,’ which begins with shifting stabs, warping bass patterns, and fizzing lead synths. It steadily progresses into a menacing club-focused workout. Continuing his signature style, ‘Questions’ showcases a blend of pulsating beats synchronized with a warped vocal topline that enhances the allure. Finally, ‘Next Game’ delivers a punchy trip loaded with subtle minimal-leaning influences, combining chopped vocal snippets with slick, stripped-back percussion.
When asked about his inspiration, wAFF said, “I created this EP after visiting Slapfunk in Amsterdam and trying to make a track that would be a hit there.”
