Laurent Garnier has shared details of his upcoming record, ‘33 Tours Et Puis S’en Vont’. The new LP is his first solo outing in 8 years and is scheduled for release on May 25, 2023, via COD3 QR, a label Garnier founded back in 2018.
According to Garnier, ‘33 Tours Et Puis S’en Vont’ will be his most dancefloor-oriented record to date, as the producer seamlessly navigates through hip hop, techno, drum & bass, and club music across 10 new tracks.
In line with the announcement, Garnier also explained in a letter penned to fans that, after 33 years, he will step away from touring. “Becoming a dusty, old jukebox has never been an option, and so as my “swinging” sixties draw nearer, the time has come for me to consider my life as a touring DJ differently,” Laurent said.
“But that doesn’t mean abandoning the decks for good. And so, after the next few months, which I’m hoping will be full of excitement around the release of this album, you won’t see me playing the same weekend in three different cities anymore,” he continued.
