Renato Gimani, also known as DJ Renè, has died aged 47. The news was confirmed by the Italian news outlet Corriere Della Serra yesterday, February 26th, 2023. According to the publication, the Rome-born DJ passed away in Italy’s capital city after suffering from heart complications related to a congenital malformation.
Born in the 1970s in Rome, DJ Renè was a touring DJ who became an Ibiza staple during the early ‘00s. He moved to Ibiza to pursue his music career, eventually taking up a residency at DC-10’s CircoLoco.
Renè also played at celebrated clubs and festivals around the world, including London’s The End, Barcelona’s Sonár Festival, and Berlin’s Bar 25.
