Bicep, the electronic music duo composed of Andy Ferguson and Matt McBriar, has recently released their latest single, ‘CHROMA 001 HELIUM.’ This release marks the beginning of their ambitious project, CHROMA, which encompasses a record label, curated events, an AV/DJ show, and a visual identity created in collaboration with David Rudnick and Terrain studio.
‘CHROMA 001 HELIUM’ showcases a darker and more club-oriented sound, distinct from their previous releases, reflecting their evolving musical preferences.
CHROMA, Bicep’s new label, aims to showcase a diverse range of music styles and genres. It features their underground club productions, collaborations, and releases under different aliases.
To celebrate the launch of CHROMA, the duo recently hosted a sold-out AV/DJ show at London’s Drumsheds, featuring a lineup curated by themselves. This event was the first of many special events planned for the year.
The CHROMA performances are AV/DJ shows that seamlessly blend live performance and DJ sets. Bicep incorporates pedals, a drum machine, and real-time adaptation of visuals to the music, creating an immersive experience.
Bicep collaborated with David Rudnick’s Terrain studio to design the visual identity for CHROMA, drawing inspiration from their shared design aesthetic and rave culture. The project will feature a custom visual system and typography integrated across all aspects.
Upcoming CHROMA shows include Finsbury Park, Brighton Beach, and a special AV/DJ performance at Coachella.
