Alleged Beyond Wonderland At The Gorge Shooter Pleads Not Guilty To Murder & Assault

The suspect who allegedly opened fire at the campgrounds of Beyond Wonderland PNW at The Gorge in Washington has pled not guilty to murder and assault charges.

James M. Kelly is accused of killing two women and injuring three people after discharging a firearm into the crowd at the far eastern section of the campgrounds.

Kelly is currently detained and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, and one count of first-degree domestic violence assault.

According to Billboard, Kelly also told detectives he took psychedelic mushrooms the night of the incident that caused him to hallucinate.

A woman he was dating said he thought the world was ending when he went to his truck and shot her along with an engaged couple, an attendee, and an employee.

According to court documents, the suspect alleges his hallucinations might have led to the shooting.

Those killed were a Seattle couple engaged to be married, Josilyn Ruiz, 26, and her fiancé Brandy Escamilla, 29.
