ADAM BEYER RETURNS WITH A BRAND-NEW STUDIO ALBUM, EXPLORER VOL. 1, HIS FIRST IN OVER 20 YEARS

Swedish techno icon Adam Beyer — DJ, producer, and head of Drumcode and Truesoul — returns with Explorer Vol. 1, his first studio album in over two decades.

After a prolific run of EPs and collaborations, Explorer Vol. 1 marks a new chapter: a reflection of Beyer’s evolution both creatively and personally. Influenced by sci-fi, ambient film scores, and decades of club culture, the album blends melodic techno, breakbeats, Afro house, Detroit grooves, and his signature Drumcode sound.

“This record is where I’ve landed after years of evolving — not just as a producer, but as a person,” says Beyer.

The album follows an unreleased project born during the pandemic, where Beyer redefined his approach to production. The result: 16 tracks that push boundaries while celebrating his roots — from euphoric anthems like Alto with Layton Giordani, to dark techno cuts like Explorer, and genre-blending standouts like The Distance Between Us.

With Explorer Vol. 1, Beyer proves he’s not slowing down. In fact, he’s just getting started — with more volumes to come, and Drumcode’s 30th anniversary (DC30) celebrations lined up for 2026.
